Harland Dooks Memorial
Tuition Bursary

Established in 2000, this Bursary is in memory of Harland Maurice Dooks from Head of Jeddore. Since he was a young child, Harland volunteered and raised funds for Twin Oaks/ Birches and many other community organizations. At the time of his passing in 1999 at the age of 52 due to poor health, Harland was a member of our Foundation and the bursary was named in his honour.

 

The Twin Oaks/Birches Heath Care Charitable Foundation awards three $2000 Bursaries annually to Eastern Shore District High (ESDH) or l'École secondaire Mosaïque Grade 12 graduates. École secondaire Mosaïque students must live and have a home address within the ESDH catchment area to be eligible. The Bursary is intended to assist students who are furthering their education in health and/or sciences at a post-secondary institution.
